Scrapbook Steals Lolite 3

My layout:

I took a class last night at Scrapbookin' Adventures here in Parksville and came out with a double and single layout, and a mini tag album that I turned into tags for teacher gifts. I came home and immediately set out to find pictures for these sweet layouts.

Now waiting for my kids to fall asleep so I can pull out Christmas gifts and start wrapping, I made this layout. Creative Scrappers sketch # 257

Monday 9 December 2013

Christmas is coming quick!! I can tell because I'm too busy making cookies to scrapbook much. I think I'm up to or over 35 dozen cookies now. And no they are not all for my family to eat...maybe 5 dozen. And a couple dozen for school parties. The rest are for Bethlehem Walk at our church. 4 nights of 10000+ people walking through the village of Bethlehem and ending in our decorated gym for hot chocolate, cookies, singing, and a look at 'Baby Jesus' with Mary and Joseph (baby Vivienne who was born to Krystal and Steve in October). My family is excited to be helping out in booths in the village all 4 nights. So I feel the need to finish baking/shopping/wrapping ect this week since after BW is over we head to the mainland to my parents and won't be back til after Boxing Day. So this is my GIAD week (get it all done). But after baking 6 dozen cookies last night I took the rest of the night off to scrap.

Creative Scrappers sketch 254

I used the sketch for the left side of my double. I love how this double layout turned out and loved scrapping about my mamacitas, a special group of friends.

A little behind on posting

I'm a little behind on posting. Been a busy month with fall activities and Thanksgiving. I'm almost out of photos to scrap before I do another order but I gave myself a challenge. No picture order until I start and finish scrapping last year's school pics for the boys. Way to get me motivated! Helped to have a new collection to dig into, Echo Park`s Paper & Glue.

First of all my Scrapbook Steals Citrine 4 challenge:

Some of the last of the pics I have printed were this group for the winter Olympics. I have been skipping over them for months but they actually worked well with this sketch, once I flipped it and filled in the empty space with pictures to.

Scrapbook Steals Citrine 5

When I first saw this sketch I was a bit baffled but then saw all the scraps I had from one sheet of paper I had used on Blake`s preschool layout, and they were perfect for this sketch. So here is my layout of Reece`s first day of preschool, age 3.

Scrapbook Steals Citrine 6

The layout on the left is from the sketch, then I just used scraps to piece together the other side of the double.

One more to go then on to Blake`s grade 1 year!

Monday 7 October 2013

Sneaking one last one in for the day before making my tea and watching the Voice (my second happy place). You'd think I'd had enough of scrapping after 19 + 2 hours of scrapping time this weekend but nope had to get my entry in for Scrapbook Steals Citrine #3 challenge which ends tonight. I am plum out of 6x4's or 5x7's to scrap for what I'm scrapping now, 2010, so looked in the box of randomly printed pics (a very small pile) and found this one of Blake. He's dressed to go to Western Day at Kindergarten. (I know I goofed on the layout). Had some fun with my Silhouette Cameo on this one.

UYOP weekend

Scrapbookin' Adventures held their 7th Annual Anniversary Event with a 20 page UYOP (use your own product) class. The class ran over 2 days and you ended up with 23 layouts (as 2 were doubles). Before the class kit instructions were emailed out and you put together the kits using, well your own product. Gives a chance to use some of your stash up and get lots of layouts done in a short amount of time. These weekends are always filled with lots of fun, laughter, great stories, candy, (wine), and great inspiration. I realize the weekend just ended but I finished up the last details of my layouts last night and am happy to have them all done. So here we go!:
