Love is in the air!

Valentine's Day is coming up and there is talk and images of love everywhere! This Valentine's Day will be a bit different for me...loaded up on narcotics, anti-inflammatories, and anti-histimines, laid up at my parents house with my foot up in the air...2 days post-op of foot surgery. I'll get to see my boys and hubby later that night as they come over on the ferry for a quick visit. The Valentines  for the kids classes are done, we made over 50 of them, here is a few of them:

I made a layout using some free Silhouette cut files from Scrapbook & Cards Today and am entering it into their challenge to make something special for someone you love. I am also entering it into The Paper Girls "Love your Love" challenge #49

I had a hard time photographing this since I wanted the reflection of him...without the reflection of the light from the window and room light getting in the way...so hard photographing layouts in the winter! I was being resourceful and those red rectangles were leftovers from the boys' Valentines for their classes.

My Scrappy Space

My scrappy space was originally in the next bedroom but when we turned the boys 'nursery' into a big kid room and put them in bunkbeds, we moved them into my scrappy room (once it was painted and turned into a Star Wars room) and I moved into the smaller bedroom which is still painted the 'nursery' yellow. Now this room needs some reno TLC ie. hubby put a new window in but did not finish and took the old baseboard heater out but has not put a new heater in (which is why I have to run a little space heater through the winter). This room didn't get the TLC b/c eventually it will be a nursery again (pleasepleaseplease) and we will work on it then. But for now it is my space. And I love it. It is not fancy, but it is cozy and I know where everything is. Plus I work in a circle. I sit at the desk with things on either side of my legs and above ect. I turn 90 degrees to the computer and printer, another 90 degrees to a large bookshelf with supplies, and the last 90 degrees to my clip-it-up. Works great for me!

On one side of me I have 12x12 cases with solid scraps, pattern paper scraps, misc embellisments, and finished layouts. On the other side are drawers each with a purpose: adhesive, brads, sew easy, 3d foam, and smaller punches. The peg board has organized chaos. In front of me are containers of pens/washi tape/ribbon ect. And inspiration. My Silhouette Cameo is on the desk to plus a file system of random organized stickers and letters.

Love that my paper is right beside me, organized by company. Plus my clip-it-up organized by collection (embellishments), and Thickers organized by colour.

My stamps, 6x6 paper packs, larger punches, inks, magazines, and containers with flowers, buttons, and clear stamps sit on these shelves behind me. Oh and the secret candy stash. Every scrap room must have this!

This little tour is for ScrapMuch?'s scrap room link up. Thanks for looking!

ScrapMuch?

ScrapMuch? sketch-y friday...a double layout!

my layout! I'm loving scrapping summer while it's winter...makes me excited for the summer to come. not that we have much to complain about weather wise in the Pacific Northwest on the island....grey skies and cool weather (note i did not say cold!). Really mild compared to most of North America.
